Kate Thompson, Vice President
Kate Thompson has over thirty years of experience in analysis, software development, and project management. She began her career as a foreign affairs analyst, and her interest in emerging technologies quickly led to a passion for developing business process and knowledge management applications. Kate received numerous customer awards for creating applications that simplified business processes and were user-friendly, as well as the first annual Perot Systems mentoring award.
Marshall Gause, Creative Director
Marshall Gause has over 20 years of experience as a game designer and creative director helping guide the development of game franchises including FrontierVille, Tomb Raider, Tony Hawk and Happy Feet for publishers such as Zynga, Activision, Electronic Arts, Disney and others. He has served as a Principal Investigator on multiple projects funded by the U.S. Department of Education including NumberShire, an early math learning game distributed by the University of Oregon Center on Teaching and Learning.
Kiki Prottsman, Curriculum Director
Kiki is a computer science educator, as well as the author of several books, including Computational Thinking and Coding for Every Student, My First Coding Book, How to Be a Coder, and Disney’s Coding with Anna and Elsa.
Carla Kopp, Senior Game Designer
Carla Kopp is a software engineer and a board game designer, developer, and publisher. She owns Weird Giraffe Games and Galactic Raptor Games, both of which focus on creating engaging games focused on player choices. She’s worked on a number of board games, including Fire in the Library, Dreams of Tomorrow, Animal Kingdoms, and Stellar Leap.
